CompuMed OsteoCare system is a unique x-ray densitometer for the assessment of bone density in the distal part of the forearm. The forearm is an excellent site because it is very representative of the total body bone mass. The new Region of Interest (nROI) assessed by CompuMed OsteoCare system is located in the ultra distal section of the forearm. At this site the bone consists of 65% trabecular bone and 35% cortical bone. The nROI is automatically calculated by CompuMed OsteoCare system providing an easy, straight-forward basis for monitoring treatment efficacy.
